Preventing Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis

Treatment and prevention methods still need to be further investigated, but a number of different options have been tried that may be helpful. It seems to affect only those with moderate to severe kidney disease, and has a strong link to gadolinium-based contrast dyes, though

the link has not been confirmed as a cause and effect link yet. Nephrogenic systemic fibrosis is a very new disease, first described in 2000, and as such, much research is still needed on the subject.
