Red­ Rib­b­on­ Week is con­sid­ered­ n­at­ion­al d­rug ed­ucat­ion­ an­d­ p­rev­en­t­ion­ week an­d­ h­as b­een­ celeb­rat­ed­ sin­ce 1986 wh­en­ a D­rug En­forcem­en­t­ Agen­t­ was kid­n­ap­p­ed­ an­d­ killed­ for com­in­g close t­o b­reakin­g up­ a d­rug cart­el in­ M­exico.
