FDA Issues Chantix Public Heatlh Advisory

On February 1st, 2008, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a public health advisory, giving new knowledge about the risks of taking the prescription medicine Chantix, or Varencline Tartrate. It stated that

the drug’s manufacturer, Pfizer, had reviewed and updated the prescription data for the drug, adding warnings alerting society to risks of intense mood and behavior changes.
