A taste of depression

But precisely how depression might affect taste is unknown. Dr Lucy Donaldson from Physiology and Dr Jan Melichar from Community-based Medicine devised a pop quiz to find out.

Many depressed public have reduced appetite and in the severely depressed that may be linked to a reduced ability to detect different

tastes.
